Get Messy || art journaling 22

Hello, lovely people.
Get Messy Thursday is here. And today we all show our takes on this month’s prompt, created by yours truly. I have to say I was taken aback by such positive response and feedback for the prompt idea. I’m so very happy that many people have found it so dear and close to their hearts.
So, let’s get to it.
Journaling challenge:
Gratitude. What are you grateful for? What aspects of your life you’re thankful for, that you might be overlooking while being busy?
Here is my page. It is actually a page from my 2012 art journal, but it’s what gave me the idea for this month’s prompt to start with. I read all the things I was grateful for then and they’re still the same now, all 10 of them 🙂
IMG_8648.JPGArt challenge:
Use visual examples for at least three things you’re grateful for. Photos/doodles/magazine cut outs/stickers/anything.. SHOW us your gratitude.
And here is my visual gratitude page from this year. I’m grateful for my amazing and supportive husband, for our little rituals, for living near the ocean, and last but not least for the sunny Vancouver days. She has a cute Etsy shop that you should check out 😉IMG_8647.JPG
And here are the two pages together.IMG_8645.JPG
I also have some news. Unfortunately, I will be leaving Get Messy as of the end of this month, so this is my very last post. 🙁 With 2015 being extremely busy both travels and projects-wise I think it’s best for me to re-evaluate some of my commitments and projects. I always want to be able give 100% when I work on something and lately I found myself unable to do that with Get Messy art journals.
I absolutely loved working with all the creative ladies for the last 5 months and will forever cherish all of our Get Messy memories, Skype chats, as well as the encouraging comments on my blog posts. I still plan to do some art journaling and I’ll try to share it on my blog from time to time.
Thank you so much to everyone who has expressed words of encouragement and well wishes. Your kindness never goes unnoticed.

Another Thursday, another week of Get Messy.
My pages are again a mix of watercolours, stickers, washi, tissue paper and little bits and bobs. Keeping it simple and stress free, second page especially.

inspired by | Kellie stamps

One of the first people I followed on Instagram was Kellie. Her eye for design is like no other and it clearly shows through her stamps and her blog. I also learned that she rocks as a person as I got to know her more and more this year. Basically amazing lady, through and through.
So I bought my first couple of her stamps a few month ago, and oh boy, are they ever used in my project life pages. It’s like she takes the words right out of your mouth and puts it into stamps, that you can use again and again. IMG_8140.JPGMy most favourite stamp to date is her RAD stamp set above. I have stamped it on project life cards, photos, vellum, and stickers. I’m also eyeing that cross stamp to possibly do a pattern on wall, just gotta get a clearance from my husbunny 😉
IMG_8138.JPGI also have already claimed one of her Christmas stamps for myself. So far it’s the best Christmas stamp I’ve seen released this year, craft stores included. No joke.

So please do yourself and favour and check out these lovely stamps by Kellie. Remember that you’re not just buying stamps but you’re also supporting someone’s small business, and that’s appreciated more than you know.
