28 paintings in 28 days

Hello, friends!
I have an exciting project in the works for the month of February.
That’s right, I’ll be doing an abstract painting every day for 28 days. Each day, starting Sunday, I’ll create a 6″x6″ abstract painting, using acrylic paints, brushes and palette knives. I’ll also be filming a timelapse video of each painting and posting it on my instagram daily, so you can really see it from start to finish. At the end of each week, on Saturdays the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th, I’ll post all the paintings from that week on my Instasale instagram, where they will be up for a 24 hour auction, starting at $28.
I’m really excited (and a little bit scared) about this fun and somewhat big project. I hope that you follow my February adventure and say hello along the way. I’d love to hear your feedback.
*this photo was taken seconds before I moved and made all the canvases fly out of my hands. Things are off to a great start already 🙂

sketching the Hollywood sign

I had a little dream to see the Hollywood sign in person one day. Another, even bigger, dream was to have a chance to sketch it, and sketch it on location not from photographs or postcards. Last week when I was visiting Los Angeles that little dream came true and I was able to not only see it in person but capture it using my watercolours too. Bucket list item- complete.
And here’s a timelapse video of how this sketch came about. Enjoy! 🙂
