art journaling 18

Hello, my lovelies!
Another Thursday, another Get Messy awesomeness.
The two pages I’m sharing with you today are quite different in style. One was made entirely out of left over scrapbook kit supplies, and the other one is basically a full on painted page. You can view how this first page came to be in my step by step process on Citrus Twist Blog here.IMG_6724.JPGThis next page is probably one of my favourites. I mean it’s bright, colourful and full of neon happiness. Very Olya-like 🙂IMG_6729.JPG
And that’s it for today. Don’t forget to check out this month’s prompt, created by yours truly.
Get Messy is an art journal challenge where a gang of crafty vixens are sharing art journal pages we have created to practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. We share our pages without restraint every week, and once a month we create around a prompt. Go check out these crazy talented ladies who are creating pages who each have a unique perspective and style. We will be sharing our work around social media so follow the hashtag #getmessyartjournal.

  1. Love being able to use my leftovers and stash! That’s one of the reasons I love to art journal; it seems like I have an easier time making use of those items!
Lovely pages, both of them but I am totally digging the first one w/ it’s silver pieces (I hate gold!) and torn edges!

  2. Oh! YES! So good! I need to channel your color goddess-ness and get neon for a page or two of my own. I love the bright. It’s good for the eyes, as well as the heart. <3
    Also, so loving the prompt!

  3. Love that colorful page so much!! Such happy hues 🙂

I haven’t got much ‘leftovers’ yet as this past month was my first art journaling, but I really like the idea of seeing what you can do with the bits and bobs from past projects. I think your page turned out lovely!
