20140603-000605-365732.jpgI have a confession.
I love being organized, productive and ahead of the schedule. Unfortunately, loving those things is where it stops. I can write to-do lists galore, have the best intentions but when it comes to follow through? Not so much. I’d get upset that I didn’t get much done in a day but then do nothing about it to change it. Next day, same story.
A few weeks ago, I bought a lovely journal “21 days – Make or Break a Habit” and shared it on Instagram. My friend Andrea (who lives half way across the world from me) saw it, bought the same journal and we decided to make new habits together.
20140603-000626-386524.jpgSo, on June 1st, we tackled our new habits. Mine is To be More Productive and Andrea’s is To Get up earlier in the Morning. Our journals came with blue rubber band bracelets to wear to remind us about our intentions of making a new lovely habit. 20140603-000655-415758.jpgChanges to our daily routines were made, more coffee was consumed, journal pages were filled. So far, I think it’s going great for both of us. I have to say I’m extremely grateful that I have someone doing this challenge with me, someone to cheer me on and push through similar obstacles (like early mornings). It makes it harder to snooze the alarm and go back to sleep, or abandon my to-do list and go to Michael’s for 3 hours (it happened before). I know that if Andrea is doing her best in this challenge so should I.

Oh my, I can totally relate to this – good intentions with less-than-ideal follow-through. So proud of you girls for doing this. You are inspiring!

The first part of this blog post is as if I wrote it myself. It sounds exactly like me, scary how much like me actually. I absolutely love what your doing and might have to look into this book myself. Thank you for sharing and GO GIRLS you can DO IT!

This is so me! I make lists and plans and they are very elaborate but after a while I loose track of me and the work and I too don`t follow through. Love this idea that you and your friend are doing. I wonder if it would work for me too.
