Last week our little Daisy bunny turned 5 years old. We threw her a Bunny Party, complete with a custom made tutu, tiny birthday hat, party carrot (look at her go crazy for it in that 3rd photo) and some of her stuffies friends (please note hipster Thumper with a flower for our Daisy). Mushy squishy cuteness overload.IMG_6070.JPGIMG_6074-0.JPGIMG_6071.JPGIMG_6072.JPGWe love our little fluffball with all our hearts and always make sure that she’s well fed (did you know that 70% of rabbit’s food should be hay and that carrots are actually very bad for their tummies if used more than just an occasional treat?), that she has plenty of play time (toys are not a luxury item for bunnies but a necessity as they need mental activity to keep them from getting depressed and sick.) and interaction with us, a.k.a. her slaves.
Having Daisy in our lives has been the best and most joyous experience but I strongly recommend for anyone who’s thinking of bringing a bunny into their home to do the research on the rabbits’ needs, diet, care and just how expensive they can be in vet bills, should something go wrong (in the last 5 years we spent over $2,500 on Daisy’s vet visits, and that’s not counting the weekly greens, hay, litter and toys. And yes, we would do it all again in a heartbeat). IMG_6073.JPGAnd here’s a finished page insert for my Project Life album with all the festivities. Bunny party to the max. *insert bunny emoji here, as well as birthday cake and confetti*IMG_6133.JPG
Daisy bun, we love you sooooooo much. Please live until you’re 25 years old, or better yet 90. Okay? Okay, good.
