Some time ago sweet Magda invited me to participate in an inspiration blog hop (thanks, Magda!). The key is to answer four questions and then link to three people who inspire me right now, and challenge them to answer the same questions next week. So let’s begin!

What am I working on?
Right now I’m working on my Project Life album, my Get Messy art journal, my new collaboration with Charisse from PixelPaperHearts, new bunny art for Daisy’s Bunny Diary shop, and a few other secret (for now) projects 🙂

How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I think it’s different because of my love of bright colours and the use of watercolour paints in a little bit of everything I do.

Why do I write/create what I do?
I create because I just get sad if I don’t. Really, it’s that simple. I love creating to inspire others, as well as to make a living but mostly it’s just a way to keep my mind and soul happy 🙂

How does your writing/creating process work?
Hmm, creating process. Some of it is really planned and structured, and most of it is just going wherever my mind takes me. For example, my Project Life album spreads are planned out each week, with the grids for where and which photos and journaling cards will go. Then I print and lay out the weekly photos according to my plan. When it comes to an art journal page or a painting, there is never a plan. If I’m inspired by a certain colour combo or scenery, I just dive right into work and create. No plan, no overthinking things. Funny how two approaches work differently for one person 🙂

Now let’s look at the three very inspiring ladies I chose. All of them I admire deeply, both as super-talented creatives and as amazing strong individuals. And here they are:

Marta Garcia
My name is Marta and I live in Hospitalet, a city near Barcelona, Spain. My big passion is scrapbooking since May 2010. Currently, I can say that my passion inside my passion is Project Life and my hobby inside my passion is styling and blogging. 😀 I never thought about myself as an artistic nor creative person, although I loved drawing since I was a child, but at the moment I discovered this craft, my life has changed in so many awesome ways. At first, I began fully with art journaling and mixed media and now I love incorporating it to scrapbooking projects. Another thing I love to do is mini books and teaching workshops. You can find me on my blog and Instagram.

Maria Lacuesta
My name is Maria Lacuesta and I am a blogger, designer, and memory keeper living in the Boston area with my boyfriend Ray.  When I’m not happily crafting paper and pixels in my tiny studio, you can find me enjoying the neighborhood I love and dreaming of my next project.
I believe in cultivating a happy life and, for me, that means creating something every day and giving thanks for all the little things that make life so wonderful.

Caylee Grey
I’m Caylee and I believe that adventures are created. I also believe in subtle magic. This is why I Project Life (oh yeah, I made it a verb). I treasure those casual magical, adventurous moments, and as such, collect them. Other than Project Life, I love art journaling, making mini books, and writing. I mean, I’m no Chuck Palahniuk but I’ve got to get everything out of my head. I live in South Africa with my husband and fur baby / snowball sidekick. I work for myself which is the best because it means that pants are optional. I’m so grateful that I get to do this in my twenties instead of being cooped up in an office with a pencil skirt. I thrive on organisation, and getting things done. I throw glitter onto a page and leave the clean up worry until later.

Be sure to check out their blogs next Monday, August 11th, to see how they answered those questions 🙂
Thank you for stopping by, friends.

How fun reading your answers! I feel the same about why we create. I just can’t create. If I can’t do it for several days in a row I feel sad!
