Last month I visited San Francisco for the first time and naturally I’ve kept a moleskine sketchbook with me throughout the trip, to be filled with sketches, instax photos, doodles and notes about my adventures. I did some urban sketching on location a few times (Golden Gate Bridge – check!) and worked on my daily notes back at the hotel each night, allowing me to document most of the trip before boarding our plane back!
Once I was at home I journaled about our last day there, printed a few tiny photos (I use wireless Canon Selphy printer) since my well used/loved Instax camera finally gave out while on the trip, added some extra stickers and washi tape and called it done.
And so here it is, my San Francisco sketchbook:

I’m so glad I took those instant polaroid photos, kept up with daily notes and included some of the paper memorabilia from the places we went to. Documenting on-the-go not only allowed me to capture all the little details that would otherwise be forgotten quickly, but provided me with a treasured time-capsule of my trip as soon as I was back home.
I love all my travel sketchbooks and would definitely recommend this kind of memory keeping to anyone who likes to travel.
So that’s it for now, friends. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my stuff 🙂
